Our Pastor 

My name is Thang Tungnung, and I was born and raised in Myanmar. On July 3, 2004, at the age of 15, I accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and was baptized. After completing high school, I pursued theological studies at Zo Christian College in 2006 and continued my education at the Ministry Training College in Myanmar until 2009.

As the oldest of eight siblings, I felt a strong responsibility to support my family. In late 2009, I moved to Malaysia, where I lived and worked for five years. During that time, I married my wife, Thang Nuam Kim (BawiNu), and by God’s blessing, we were blessed with five lovely daughters.
In 2014, my family and I had the opportunity to move to Australia. We first settled in Melbourne before relocating to Adelaide in 2016. We started holding Sunday services in our home, and later that year, we founded Zo Baptist Church. I have been in a leadership role within the church since its inception.

Concerned about our children’s spiritual growth, we connected with Salisbury Baptist Church in 2017. They graciously welcomed our children into their English Sunday school and allowed us to use their building for our Zo Church services, where we have worshipped ever since.

In 2019, I undertook leadership training in Christian ministry and theology at Uniting College, and I continue to deepen my understanding of God’s word. Since 2021, I have served as the pastor of our church, committed to leading and serving our community in faith.

Khup Lam Cin Tai Thul

Chairman

Khup Lam Cin Taithul has been an integral part of our church, serving in various leadership roles over the years. He first took on the role of Chairman from 2016 to 2017, demonstrating his strong leadership and dedication. In 2018, he contributed as Treasurer, managing our financial matters with great care. The following year, in 2019, he served as Secretary, ensuring effective communication and organization within the church.

Khup returned to the position of Chairman in 2022, where he continues to lead with wisdom and commitment. His leadership has been marked by a deep sense of responsibility and a clear vision for the future of our church.

Khup is happily married to Nian Taithul, and together they have been blessed with three daughters and one son. Their family is a cherished part of our community, and Khup's contributions have made a lasting impact on all of us.

Secretary

Thang Suan Hau - Served as Vice Chairman in 2017, Chairman in 2018, Vice Chairman from 2019 to 2020, Accountant in 2021, and Secretary from 2022 to 2024. His leadership and administrative abilities have been a cornerstone of the church's governance.

Hau Muan Kap - Held the position of Vice Chairman in 2021 and again from 2023 to 2024. His leadership has been pivotal during these periods, contributing to the church's strategic direction.

Accountant

Thang Thangman - Held the role of Accountant from 2019 to 2020, and again from 2023 to 2024. His expertise has ensured the church's financial health across multiple terms.

Thang Muan Lian - Served as Youth Leader in 2020 and 2022, managed the building in 2021, and has been the accountant from 2023 to 2024. His diverse contributions span both youth mentorship and financial stewardship.

Mang Lien Pau - Served as Youth Leader in 2021, and has been the Treasurer from 2022 to 2024. He has skilfully managed both youth leadership and the church’s finances.
