Whas been your greatest challenge in following Christ, and how did you overcome it? | One of my greatest challenges has been trusting God fully during difficult seasons of life. There are times when circumstances don’t make sense, and it’s tempting to rely on my own strength. However, through prayer and surrendering my anxieties to God, I’ve learned that His ways are higher than mine, and He is faithful even when I don’t understand His plans. I overcame this challenge by immersing myself in God’s promises and allowing His peace to guard my heart. “And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, declares the Lord.” Isaiah 55:8 “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.”1 Peter 5:7 |
What does being a disciple of Christ mean to you? | Being a disciple of Christ means following Him wholeheartedly, committing to learning from His teachings, and living out His commands. It’s about being transformed into His likeness and carrying His message of love and salvation to others. How do you see God working in the world around you? | I see God working in both the small and big moments of life—through acts of kindness, the beauty of creation, and in how people come together to support one another during difficult times. In what ways has your understanding of the Bible changed over time? | Over time, my understanding of the Bible has deepened. Initially, I saw it as a set of moral guidelines, but now I realize it’s the living Word of God, meant to transform my heart and renew my mind. The more I study, the more I see God’s grace woven throughout Scripture, pointing to His redemptive plan in Jesus Christ. I’ve also come to appreciate the context and culture behind biblical texts, which helps me apply its truths more effectively to my life. “For the word of God is alive and active. What role does prayer play in your life? | Prayer is my lifeline to God. It’s how I communicate with Him, sharing my heart, asking for guidance, and seeking His will. Through prayer, I experience peace in the midst of storms, gain clarity in decision-making, and grow closer to God. How do you handle doubts or uncertainties in your faith? | When I face doubts or uncertainties, I bring them to God in prayer and seek answers through His Word. I also turn to trusted mentors or fellow believers for wisdom and encouragement. I’ve learned that it’s okay to have questions, and often, through the process of seeking, God reveals deeper truths. How do you share your faith with others? | I share my faith by living out the love of Christ in my daily interactions and being open about what He has done in my life. What does community mean to you within the context of your Christian faith? | Community is essential in my walk with Christ. It’s where I find support, accountability, and encouragement. Being part of a church community allows me to grow in my faith alongside others, serve together, and bear each other’s burdens. How do you understand the concept of grace, and how has it shaped your life? | Grace is God’s unmerited favour towards me—offering forgiveness and salvation through Christ, even though I don’t deserve it.
